Terms of service.
Lighthouse University requests that all of our clients agree to the following conditions:
Credit Card on File
Prior to working with your student, we require a valid credit card number on file as reasonable assurance of future payment.
Invoicing
Depending on the plan that you choose, we will email you an itemized invoice either at the first of each month or per the terms of your specific plan.
For packages over $500, we will take a 20% deposit at the time of purchase.
Payment Terms - 10 Days
Within ten days of receiving your invoice, please remit payment by check, major credit card, bank transfer, or mobile payment app. Details will provided in the invoice.
Late Payment or Cancellation Fee
If your invoiced total is not paid in full within the ten days, we will charge your credit card on file any unpaid amount - plus a $25 late fee. If this credit card payment is declined, we reserve the right to immediately cancel services and demand payment in arrears.
By accepting our services, you authorize Lighthouse University to charge your credit card in accordance with these terms.
Service Radius
Within 20 miles of Sundance Square in Fort Worth, or 20 miles of Galleria in Dallas, there will be no distance fee charged in your plan.
If a student’s preferred meeting location is more than 20 miles from either of these locations, we will charge a $25 distance bonus per face-to-face session.
We will not travel outside of a 45 mile radius of these locations.
Minimums
A minimum of two hours of consultation must be purchased at one time. However, the appointments do not have to be consecutive. Each appointment must be a minimum of 1 hour.
Appointment Cancellation Policy - 24-Hour Notice
As a professional courtesy, we ask that you cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance of a session’s start time. You will owe payment in full for any cancellation - including no-shows - made by either you or your student within 24 hours of a session’s scheduled start. Fees arising from a good-faith cancellation may be waived solely at the discretion of Lighthouse University and only for exceptional circumstances.
Termination of Services and Refund Policy
Subject to the above cancellation policy, you may cancel services at any time. A refund will be provided for services not rendered. However, the deposit will only be refunded in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Lighthouse University.
We reserve the right to refuse to continue service to a customer at any time, providing we notify them and refund them for services paid for and not rendered.
We stand by our experience and will do our best to communicate expectations. We cannot guarantee that admissions expectations will be met for every student because of the nature of the admissions process. We therefore cannot provide refunds for students rejected from their target schools.
